RESPONSIBILITIES

This person will be responsible for all aspects of marketing vegetables for Sunshine Organics, including interfacing with chefs, developing new restaurant accounts, managing deliveries and invoicing, coordinating sales and merchandising of vegetables with the Sunshine Farm Market manager, and possibly supervising post-harvest washing and packing operations. This person might also take on duties managing the CSA, selling at local farmers markets, and bookkeeping.

I imagine that this work would take 20-30 hours a week and the remaining hours could be spent doing field work (if full time hours are desired).

DESIRED SKILLS AND COMPENSATION

I am looking for someone who has vegetable farm experience, a desire to see a new farm succeed and to get more people eating our beautiful produce. The right person will be self-motivated, have great people skills, good organizational skills, a good sense of aesthetics and quality control, and like dealing with numbers.

Wage depending on experience, likely $9 to start, plus bonuses based on sales. This could turn into a long-term partnership for the right person. Living on-site in a great, close farm community is an option.
