SUNSHINE FRUIT

Summer is in full swing here at The Sunshine Farm.  This week we have the following fresh fruit harvested from our farm:

• Early Redhaven Peaches- Available by the box or by the pound
• Goldstrike Apricots- Available by the box and by the pound
• Sweetheart Cherries
• Lodi Apples- A good tart baking apple, availabe by the box or by the pound
• Gooseberries
• Raspberries-limited availability

Unfortunately we can’t grow everything here at Sunshine, but lucky for us there are many wonderful farmers in our area who grow produce that we don’t!  In the market we have:

• Blueberries & Raspberries from Bunny Laine Fruit in Malott, WA
• Blueberries from Falls View Orchard in Manson, WA
• Conventional Rainier Cherries from Hover Hawk Ranch in Wenatchee, WA
• Organic Bings and Rainiers from Spencer Orchard in Malaga, WA
• Pie Cherries from Sutherland Orchards in Chelan, WA

WASHINGTON FRUIT

This week we got the first crop of local apricots.  We have beautiful Gold Stike Apricots grown by DDD Orchards in Palisades, WA.  They are available by the pound or by the box.
We also have both organic and conventional Bings and Rainiers grown locally and a great selection of local, organic berries!

Along with local fruit, we also have Walla Walla Sweet Onions- available by the 10lb bag or by the each.

Our veggie season is finally in full swing!  We have harvested the first of the zucchini, tomatoes and cucumbers from our fields. The full list:

WASHINGTON FRUIT

Like Rainiers?  Try an Early Robin and you’ll be saying, “Rainier Who?”  We picked up our second load of Early Robins Monday night.  These are grown by Seth Weeks in Malaga, WA.

We just went down to Mattawa to pick up a fresh-picked load of Burlatt Cherries.  Mattawa is a couple hours south of Chelan and their cherries are always the first to ripen in the state. Burlatt is an extra-early variety, similar to the Bing.  These are gerat looking cherries!  Come get some before they’re gone!
